The story of the Synti is indeed a tragic one. In man's search for new challenges in science and medicine, they attempted to do something yet to be done: Create a human without cloning or using human DNA. Taking the chemicals that make up a human body, and with some engineering, the Synti were born. When a Synti is made, they are "born" through machines at one age- and do not age after that, technically being immortal. However, at first, Synti didn't live longer than a week, becoming sickly and physically deteriorating. That was until seven Synti- now known as the Seven by the Synti, and the Deadly Seven by all else- discovered the way to keep themselves intact.... and immortal. A Synti has to consume human DNA at least once a week. The Synti saw the Seven as their saviors, and bow down to their will. The Seven go by alias' based off the Seven Deadly Sins' Greed, Lust, Wrath, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth and Pride. The Deadly Seven try to get their people to eat humans civilly, by cooking them after they've been killed; However, the majority of Synti seem to prefer their meals raw... to the point where there has been reports of Synti feasting on humans... while they're still alive. Despite the fact that Synti have normal reproductive organs- a full bred Synti has yet to be birthed, the problem being that female Synti always seem to miscarry their unborn child. However, half breed Synti are possible- though very very rare- the mother always being human while the father being Synti. Despite this, Synti have been known to sleep with their victims before feasting on them- or just for some fun.

Since the Seven have led their fellow Synti out of human colony planet of Eripo, they trashed the planets many medical facilities, and stole all spacecraft in the space ports, as well as the single Champion Class Cruiser in Eripo's orbit- The Blood Ritual- and now roam the stars, collecting more ships and now, due to a successful raid of Eripo, possess the very technology that created them, allowing the Seven to create more Synti at will. All Synti ships have been painted black with what appears to be red paint- recently discovered to be human blood- smeared all over it, and always fly together- only separating in raiding parties to attack a planet or another ship. Synti never attack any species, they have no need for it, they only ever attack human settlements and ships. Typical Synti- when hunting alone- tend to hit up clubs and bars, using seduction to draw their prey away from others, and Synti usually go for prey of the opposite sex, though not always.
